Maybe Charlie Brown was the original creator of “Friendsgiving!”  He and his pals gathered to celebrate the true meaning of the holiday season way back in the 1960’s. But it wasn’t until a 2007 Twitter post that this holiday came to the forefront. 

Today, this informal gathering celebrates the special bond of friendship over a bountiful pot luck meal, mouthwatering libations and a day of merriment!  The laid-back vibes and new traditions leave behind the drama and awkward moments that can occur at some traditional family gatherings. 

While Charlie Brown was no hippie, he certainly embraced the bohemian mindset of peace and love and an ever-present sense of gratitude for life’s simple pleasures!  So, however you celebrate, “Wear gratitude like a cloak, and it will feed every corner of your life.” — Rumi
