National Walking Day is Wednesday, April 5th and what better way to celebrate than to lace up your sneakers and take a walk!
Walk your dog, walk the neighborhood, walk the beach or the woods, walk to work, take the stairs, venture on a relaxing stroll or park your car at the back of the parking lot. Just do it! You’ll be surprised how far this new habit will take you if you focus on all aspects of health!
Connection matters, so find a walking buddy for socialization and accountability. You’ll be sure to meet other fellow walkers along the way and connect with your community. All of this while calming the mind, boosting brain power, longevity, and your immune system, improving heart and bone health, enhancing sleep and best of all connecting with Mother Nature! And…it’s free!
So, unplug from technology (except maybe from your pedometer) and take a hike and stay SWELL!
