At Swell Vision, we believe that real change in environmental practices must be developed from the ground up through the education of our children.

When we first heard about Green School Bali and its focus on pioneering sustainability within education, we felt a strong connection with our mission to promote a sustainable consumer culture.

Through the Local Scholarship Program, Green School supports local Balinese children to access a sustainability-focused, non-traditional, unique, international standard of education. With the support they receive, Green School provides opportunities for those Balinese children to be aware of real-world problems, become changemakers, and create real solutions for their home and the world.

Back in 2014, and with that in mind, we were happy to become a corporate sponsor of the Green School. Through committing a portion of our profits to its educational programs, we are in full alignement with Green School's vision of a “natural, holistic, student-centered learning environment that empowers and inspires students to be creative, innovative, and green leaders.”

Swell Vision is one of the longest corporate sponsors of Green School's programs, enabling local children to receive the skills they need to make a difference.

In order to bring this vision to life, Swell contributes with the Kul Kul Connection program, by donating 1% of our profits to provide local Balinese children with the opportunity to receive English and Ecoliteracy classes.

Also, we work closely with the Green School's team to promote common agendas on the environment and sustainability with key focus on bamboo as a renewable resource.

Green School Bali

The Green School is committed to educating for sustainability in a natural environment through a purpose-driven curriculum.

With the belief that schools should be places of joy, and strive to champion a new model of education that fully ignites the imagination of children, so they can engage and learn with optimism, inventiveness, and wonder.

Green School is pushing educational boundaries at a time when the world must rethink whether more of the same is acceptable, through:

  • Preparing students to be critical and creative thinkers who are confident to champion the sustainability of the world and its environment;
  • Inspiring their thirst for knowledge, equipping them with appropriate and relevant teachings;
  • Nurturing their passion to influence change in the way we are managing this planet.

Kul Kul Connection

The Kul Kul Connection is a community-driven language and sustainability after-school program that provides over 470 Balinese young people with the skills they need to make a difference and tackle bigger challenges.

The program provides English language classes to local students on the Green School Campus. So much more than just learning English, the program also grants abundant opportunities for the local students to engage as active participants in the community of learners at Green School through extra-curricular activities, sustainability initiatives, and social enterprises.

With the focus on waste reduction, reuse and recycling, these part-time Green School scholars are leading change one household, one community, one village at a time.

Participants pay for their course with 5 kilograms of recyclable trash per semester, deposited at KemBali, Green School’s waste management facility.
