A Mother’s love is unconditional, from the moment of birth or better yet while still in utero!  She has an innate desire to protect us offering strength, safety and security. She is our very first teacher, nurturing us on countless aspects of life.  Love, values, respect, manners, sacrifice, patience, responsibility, discipline, health, optimism and so much more.  She works tirelessly to ensure that we are equipped with the knowledge, skills and abilities to become competent adults.  She leads by example endlessly giving, encouraging us to help others and do good and right for all those whose lives we touch. Splendor in the Grass

If a blade of grass is cut in half and you looked at it with the naked eye, you'll see more green grass. But under a microscope, you’ll see tiny structures containing even tinier parts!      Every blade of grass contains millions of plump elongated cells call chloroplasts. Their job is to make food because grass can't hunt for its food.  Their secret recipe is a combination of sunlight and carbon dioxide which creates energy!  A pigment called chlorophyll is what gives grass it's green color and you all know that green is our favorite color!!     But the "grass isn't always greener on the other side."  In the winter and sometimes even in the summer, it can turn brown or yellow.  That's because there...

EARTH DAY

Did you know that the very first Earth Day was on April, 22, 1970?  It is now 2021 and the Earth Day holiday is 51 years old! The mission of this holiday was to educate the public about environmental issues and to force these issues onto a national agenda. In 1962, Rachel Carson’s best seller Silent Spring brought attention to the dangers of pesticide use and in  1969, a fire on the Cuyahog River near Cleveland brought chemical waste disposal to the forefront. EARTH HOUR

MARCH 27, 2021 @ 8:30 pm On March 27, 2021 at 8:30 PM global skylines will go dark as millions of people in 180 counties turn off their lights as a symbolic gesture for Earth Hour, organized by WWF - World Wide Fund for Nature. Over the years, Earth Hour has been the force behind many global environmental achievements.
